crimson_angelIt's been awhile since I last updated. I have been swamped lately.
Sacrifice is coming along. I have renamed it "Eternal Dance" after a line in the first chapter. It seems to fit better. I also will be telling it in third and first person -the vampire's POV will be in first, everyone else in 3rd. I was able to get 4k done last weekend. :)
Survivor has officially been started! I'm so geeked!
Another thing: I took some awesome sunset pics of our American Flag outside for my photo club "assignment." Well they came out goregous! So I had this brainstorm - I'll call the photo editor of our daily newspaper and see if they would consider them for the 4th of July issue. A gutsy move, as I've been out of the newspaper business for about 7 years! I was so nervous! But once we talked, I felt better.
No word on it yet. I'm hoping to hear back soon, after all, they do have deadlines.
I've decided to start getting more serious about photography. I've been hitting all the ezines and lit mags, which is fine, but i feel the pull to try the bigger mags like Photographic, Shutterbug, Photographer's Forum, etc etc. Photo Techniques is a cool how-to mag, and a small investigation of their back issues has shown that they have nothing on polaroid transfers (an alternative process). So, that's my next project: an article on polaroid transfers and samples to go with them. :) And also an article on self-portraiture, which I have practically done-it's from a handout from my Creative Class, just gotta cut it down a bit.
So that's the scoop on what's going on in my life. Hopefully, I'll have some snippets soon.
