Thoughts on NaNo

First of all, Happy NaNo-ing to everyone!
It kills me to say this, but I won't be participating this year. :( My health is not so good, and I have way too many things going on. The main two are a class I am teaching till mid-December, which is very intense, and a class I am taking, which is very very intense. I haven't done much besides eat, go to work, do homework and sleep. Luckily, I have three more weeks left, but by the time it's over, I will have missed most of NaNo.
If this were last year I would have went for it anyways. I was that crazy. But I had the biggest fibro flare of my life right after NaNo. As much as I wanted to deny it, I think those late nights and sleep deprivation really did me in. Also I have a hand injury to contend with. So there. :p
I even had a GREAT idea and a plot this time around.
But, as one of my best friends pointed out, I've already proved to myself -and others-that I can write daily. I have finished October with just shy of 22k, which is the HIGHEST number I've ever written in thirty days, not counting last year's NaNo. The only reason why I stopped was this stoopid class. But progress is progress, and I really don't want to stress about it. Knowing myself, I'd wanna do all 50k words-and that just won't work this year. But, DAMMIT, I will do NaNo next year.
Sooooo, I'm trying unofficially for 50k. I prolly won't make it; I'm just being realistic. My WIP "Eternal Dance" needs a huge boost, so this will help. So I will cheer everyone else on, and if you could cheer me on, too, I'd really appreciate it. :)
I will be posting snippets and would love some feedback (and you know who you are - some of you still owe me some..gentle reminder).
Okie, so I wrote around 200 some-odd words at work. Will snippet them at some point.
Viva La NanoWriMo!
